'Jesus' And The Amish!
Lancaster, Pennsylvania
July 13 - 15, 2018

Day 1 - We will depart our hometown heading for Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We will find our hotel in the beautiful Lancaster Countyís gorgeous farmland. We will eat an early dinner at the family owned Millerís Smorgasbord, with a tradition of good food and exceptional service since 1929. Today, their traditional smorgasbord features mouthwatering American favorites as well as their own distinctive Lancaster County heritages dishes and bakery-fresh desserts. Be sure to explore Millerís Gift Shop and Bakery, Wenger Gallery, Twin Brook Wine Shop, The Tee Parlor, and their amazing 3,000 square foot Quilt Shop at Millerís featuring over 1,000 quilted items from Amish Mennonite and local artisans. We will then head to our show at the Sight & Sound Complex, where we will see 'Jesus'. The show is an action-packed musical stage adventure that takes us on a miraculous journey alongside Jesus and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. This is an immersive show and an epic experience with a meaningful message. Where edge-of-your-seat action meets heartfelt drama. Sight & Soundís unique theater experience begins with a 2,000 seat auditorium, a 300-ft stage that surrounds the audience on three sides, state-of-the-art technology, meticulously detailed sets and costumes, and live animals. It's an experience you won't forget.

Day 2 - We will eat breakfast at our hotel before meeting our tour guide at the Kitchen Kettle Village. We will venture onto the ďRoad Less TraveledĒ through the heart of the Amish Farmlands. Enjoying picturesque scenery as we meander across country roads where time seems to stand still. We will see the pristine Amish farms, one-room school houses, wind wheels, and farmers working in the fields with their horse and mule drawn plows. We will stop at Eliís Stand and get a homemade soft pretzel and a large lemonade before heading to an Amish Quilt & Craft Shop, right on an Amish farm. We will have an opportunity to meet the Amish in person as we browse through the colorful array of exquisite handmade quilts and unique country crafts. After this we will have lunch on our own in the Kitchen Kettle Village. There are 42 shops and restaurants built around the nationally celebrated Jam & Relish Kitchen. Sample Pepper Jam, watch fudge being rolled, go for a horse drawn carriage ride and listen as Banjo Jimmy plays a tune. And did we mention the shopping? Itís like a treasure hunt with everything from hand carved signs to handmade quilts, Brighton leather goods to UGG boots and so much more. We will return to our hotel to clean up before our dinner at Good n Plentyís for another fine Amish cooked meal. After dinner we will be heading to our show of the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame'.
