Springtime In The Old South
Atlanta/Savannah, Georgia
April 4 - 9, 2011
Day 1 - We begin our journey by traveling south into
Kentucky and Tennessee. After rest and meal stops on your own, we arrive at our
overnight stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel,
The Chattanooga Choo Choo. After dinner the rest of the evening is on your own.
Day 2 - Following an included breakfast we depart for
Atlanta, Georgia. We will meet our guide for the day at the World Headquarters of CNN. A
full day of sightseeing will include Underground Atlanta, The Headquarters of Coca-Cola and
many other historical sights in Atlanta. Lunch today is on your own. After the tour we travel
to Morrow, Georgia and our overnight at the Drury Inn and Suites. Upon arrival we are greeted
with a reception and an evening snack. Dinner this evening is on your own.
Day 3 - This morning after our included deluxe continental
breakfast, we depart for Savannah, Georgia. Upon arrival we will meet our guide for a city
tour, then check in to our downtown hotel, The Inn at Ellis Square. The balance of the
evening is on your own.
Day 4 - After our continental breakfast we depart for a
day of sightseeing, including Hilton Head. We plan an afternoon arrival back at the hotel
and the balance of the evening is free.
Day 5 - Following our continental breakfast we depart for
Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival in Charlotte, we will visit the new Nascar Hall of
Fame. Later in the afternoon we check into our hotel, The Drury Inn and Suites. A Manager
will greet us upon arrival along with an evening snack. The balance of the evening is free.
Day 6 - After an included deluxe continental breakfast we
depart for home with fond memories of our tour of The Old South. An early evening arrival
home is scheduled.
